Matilda had long gotten used to Malin’s transformations. The next morning, when she saw Malin’s hair had grown significantly, the big-tailed fox chuckled while combing his hair. With a dagger, she did some simple trimming and tied it into a neat little ponytail.
Finding clothes that fit herself, Malin took his Fox Girl downstairs and found Mr. Meng.
After a good night’s rest, Mr. Meng looked much better. When Malin entered, he saw the man was already sitting on the balcony, watching the morning sunrise.
"You look much better, Mr. Meng." Malin walked into the room, and as he passed by Meng Quyi, the young woman gave his cheek a light pinch.
Mr. Meng glanced at Malin’s new appearance, then at his daughter’s playful action, and sighed helplessly: "Mr. Malin, what exactly is going on with you?"
"Bloodline awakening—paternal side." Malin said as he walked up to Mr. Meng. "Today, my beloved and I plan to visit Sagarezao City. Round trip, it shouldn’t take more than two days."
As he spoke, he reached toward the fruit bowl. An apple floated up, shedding its skin mid-air, completing its transformation before gently landing in front of Mr. Meng.
"I didn’t know Spiritual Energy could be used like this." Mr. Meng accepted the apple, marveling as though he had just discovered a new continent.
Malin raised an eyebrow: "Whether it’s technology or Spiritual Energy, the most important thing is its ability to change human Fate. Take this city, for instance. The people who built it surely didn’t create something so massive just for appearances."
