Chapter 786: Section 532: Winter Campaign (Part 3)_2

"Thank you for sharing so much," Jon said with a smile.
It seemed that Malin was indeed a rather amiable person; he could even befriend this Lich, as long as the friend was capable of fighting Chaos. It appeared that Malin did not mind whether his friends were humans or ghosts.
"Don’t mention it. I’ve said so much because I hope you can understand Malin better. He is a good friend, a very frightening opponent, and an extremely cruel enemy. I hope that the two of you, as promising young humans, can become friends with Malin. In doing so, you would gain an additional path, as would Malin, and I too would have an extra option through you," the Lich continued.
Jon blinked, as if seeing the young Lich in a new light, and finally revealed a smile, nodding his head, "You’re right, just as the Thanan people say, ’One more friend, one more path.’
The gentleman, Ails, nodded as well.
"Yes, one more friend, one more path. Oh, by the way, your brother has returned. He’s just been slightly injured; I had one of the shells land near him. It seems he’s fine now."
At Ails’s words, Jon rushed to his brother’s side. It was only then that he noticed his brother’s left arm was severed at a section, but fortunately, the limb was still there, and the wound was bandaged. It should be possible to reattach the arm with the help of Bishop, though his brother wouldn’t be able to use it for some time.
But at least it was better than being disabled.
"I was careless and got struck by a sword from a Champion Level Plague Messenger hidden among the forces. I thought I was done for, but the Holy Water in the fog removed the plague toxins from my body. Many others were saved alongside me. I need to thank that Lich," said Link, handing his arm to his brother and walking towards the Lich who seemed to have noticed him approaching.
"Young man, Jon is your brother, right?"
