Steampunk Era: Mad Abield

Chapter 742 - 508: The True God-Chosen Champion_2

Struggling to control his emotions, Malin struck his longsword against the axe blade three times.

After the first strike, the will known as Malin returned to his body.

After the second strike, courage and strength began to be constrained.

After the third strike, Malin raised both weapons high and let out the battle roar of a Frost Giant.

Behind him, at the breach in the city walls, soldiers clutching various weapons surged forth, shouting insults at the Chaos, feeling at that moment invincible. All soldiers feverishly watched Malin, ready to rush forward and flay the skin from the Chaos at a single word from him.

"Soldiers! Do not come! Do not desecrate this holy duel," Malin shouted, then strode toward the one named Mendel: "Come, you piece of trash! Let me sever your arms, chop off your neck, and cut you into a thousand pieces!"

"That line should be mine!" Mendel roared as he charged, his axe raised high to split Malin in two with a single blow, but his attack hadn’t fully descended when the Malin before him began to shatter— and the next second, the longsword pierced his left rib, the pain reaching his brain, and the Chaos giant howled, attempting to punch Malin’s head.

But before the fist could swing, Malin dragged his longsword out from the wound, dodged the punch with a twist, and using the momentum of his turn, his left-hand axe chopped off Mendel’s entire left arm.

Mendel swung his axe with his right hand in the middle of turning, but Malin blocked the blow with his left-handed axe and simultaneously, his right-handed sword pierced into Mendel’s chest. While the Chaos giant kneeled on the ground wailing due to holy energy, Malin’s axe severed his other arm.

Turning, stepping, Malin came behind Mendel, the back-held axe blade driven into Mendel’s head with a swing. After prying a bit to remove the axe, Malin walked past from Mendel’s left side, withdrawing the longsword from his chest, and allowing this chosen champion to take his last breath.

With a twist of the longsword, resting on Mendel’s left shoulder neck, a pull severed the head of this chosen champion from his body.
