Just when the ritual was about to start in five minutes, Ails whispered a warning to Malin.
"We have guests," Malin said to the kobold paladin beside him.
The latter nodded. This kobold seemed very old, but time appeared unable to inflict any harm on him. Upon hearing Malin’s alert, he nodded, "How many?"
"It’s not clear yet, but at least seven. There might be more."
"I can understand the apprentices of Hoffman, mortals always harbor a fear, but to fall to such depths, yet still thinking about disrupting the ritual, I don’t know what to say."
"What do you mean?" The old paladin asked in Prairie Elvish, Malin’s self-taught mother tongue, so there were no problems with communication. As for his words, Malin was quite curious.
Logically, these apprentices shouldn’t disrupt the ritual after becoming Chaos—for them, the Evil God sealed by Hoffman’s church had nothing to do with them; they had no business being here.
Not to mention disrupting the ritual. Malin truly believed they could be here to kill, but to disrupt the ritual... Even if the Chaos had lost their minds, they shouldn’t have made such a move.
