Steampunk Era: Mad Abield

Chapter 446: Section 302: LeParrain (2)

Selena was contemplating what to do today. Although as a noble, she could easily have the maids do it, a favorite book of hers states it well that a man’s stomach is the biggest weakness in his life, and for a woman, it is the only place where she can have control over him.

Although this saying was full of male chauvinism, Selena had to admit that the guy wasn’t wrong.

Speaking of which, Jason should almost be on his way back by now, and Shela... should be arriving home soon as well.

Handing over the cooking to the maids, Selena heard the sound of a carriage. She untied her apron and went to the front door, where the butler opened it for her. The young lady saw the Mischael family’s carriage stopped in the courtyard. Her sister stepped down from the carriage with the coachman’s assistance.

"Welcome back, my sister," she embraced her sister.

"Sorry, there was some traffic on the way. They are repairing the road on both the north and south sides of our street," Shela commented with some curiosity.

Her remark made Selena pause for a second, "Are they fixing the drainage?"

"Yes, I saw Mr. Robbie from the city hall; he was the one who told me that they are repairing the road on the north side as well," Shela said, taking a small bag of gifts out of her own bag: "Here, this is from brother. It’s red tea obtained from Thanan. You and Jason will like it."

"Thank you." Selena felt it was a pity that her own sister didn’t like red tea because during tea parties, she could only drink sweet milk. Nevertheless, Selena was very touched because this was red tea from the distant human world: "You go take a bath first."

After the sisterly affection was shared, Selena watched Shela enter the bathroom. Then, she glanced at the red tea bag in her hand, smiling as she handed it to the butler: "Keep it safe. Jason will like it."
