Steampunk Era: Mad Abield

Now that things here were settled, Malin had the Baron take his troops to tidy up the place before setting it on fire—innocent victims, remnants of Chaos, and all those chaotic scribbles. After all, not only this village but also the surrounding beaches would be uninhabitable for a while, unless a Clergy specialized in Purification came to cleanse the area. Otherwise, who would dare to live here and risk becoming a horrific change?

Thereafter, following the previous agreement, Malin took his people to the next target location, where another assault team was in charge of cleaning up; they had agreed to regroup with whoever finished their task first.

Since Malin’s team was done first, they naturally moved toward the others. Over a few hills, Malin saw the battle on the distant hilltop—it seemed like two or three thousand people were fiercely engaged in combat.

"Baron, how many people did our Baron Gallo bring with him?" Feeling the numbers were off, Malin turned to the Baron, who pondered for a moment, "He should have brought at least eight hundred warriors."

"After all, he is the young grandson of Duke Gallo." The young Mage snorted at this moment, appearing to take pleasure in the misfortune.

Malin wasn’t interested in any love or hate between the two; he just felt that the numbers on both sides added up to quite a lot.

But hearing that the Baron had brought eight hundred strong men, plus the assault team, it seemed that the numbers should be about right.

It just seemed that the clash had started a bit late, but the female Mage’s explanation partially resolved Malin’s doubts, "Perhaps they got lost, Baron Gallo is a noble from the South; coming to fight in the North this time, he should count himself lucky for not getting lost in these hills, relying on the angle of the moon."
