As Malin thought to himself, he helped Logan remove the arrow from his leg, then stitched up the wounds one by one and had the guards drag him away.
With no new injured coming in and most of the others already saved, Malin noticed a group nearby who had ceased their life-saving efforts and walked over. He saw the person lying on the ground: "Is he dead?"
"There’s no heartbeat anymore," the young priest in charge of the rescue sighed.
"Let me try," Malin said, pushing him aside, while a peer on the other side watched Malin: "My brother is already dead."
"If it’s just cardiac arrest, that doesn’t necessarily mean he is dead. I can’t rest easy if we don’t try. Are you content to let it be if he isn’t?" Malin asked, rolling up his sleeves.
The youngster thought about it and finally shook his head, large tears welling up in his eyes: "... You’re right, Sir Malin."
Malin placed his hands over the injured party’s right chest: "Your brother’s heart should be on the right side, right?"
"What do you mean?" The youngster was puzzled.
