Chapter 261: Gateway to hell
Damon walked over to the specific tomb in a remote corner of the graveyard, and immediately, a system screen popped in front of him.
[Ding! You have discovered a new dungeon.]
[Ding! You have gained experience points.]
[Ding! All your gains inside the dungeon are increased by 50% for the first hour. There is a higher chance for more valuable loot to drop and rare events to trigger.]
Damon swiftly ignored the notifications and instead started looking around the tomb. The tomb itself was unremarkable with cracked stone slabs, moss creeping through the joints, and half-eroded inscriptions barely legible under the flickering light of Ellora’s conjured flame.
The statue of a forgotten noble loomed over the entrance, its face so worn by time that it looked more like a faceless wraith than a resting knight. Damon placed his palm on the statue’s base. "This is definitely the spot but where exactly did they find it?"
"My Lord, are we going to train in this dungeon?" Ellora slowly asked. The dungeon portal was giving a strong aura but to her, a top-tier geared up C-ranker, this was pretty much a walk in the park.
Damon didn’t respond immediately. His eyes narrowed as he crouched near the statue’s base and brushed away a layer of dirt and broken stone, revealing a faint rune, almost invisible unless you were looking for it.
"Not exactly," he murmured. "We’re not here to train. We’re here to awaken something."
Hearing him even Kaelthorn was curious.
