Chapter 186: Pushing the limits
"This is not possible..." La Rocha trembled. "How could an ancient being... No... You are not him.. You just have a fraction of his power. You do not have the ability to stand against me!" The green-eyed man screamed.
He did not waste any more time and just thrust both his hands forward, sending out thick streams of pure mana towards Damon. His attack was like a laser that blasted outward. No mortal would be able to handle such an intense attack.
However, Damon was not faced. Right now, the control he had over his mana was something he had never imagined. The vortex made his body like a black hole that sucked everything and he was able to weild a lot of the energy.
He used the very mana surrounding him to form layer after layer of barrier. He then moved, easily evading the attack. La Rocha did not give up. He continued attacking Damon with everything he got, but Damon only maniacally laughed.
He knew he couldn’t dodge the monster’s attack forever, but he could dodge them for long enough for the aftermath to wreak havoc in the metallic fortress core, which clearly meant a lot to the bastard.
The enemy might be carried away with all sorts of arrogance and emotion, but Damon was always grounded right from the beginning.
His sole aim was to break out of here and get everyone to safety. He had been overconfident in assuming that this enemy was someone he could handle. He had heavily underestimated the opponent.
However, now he knew better. It was time to take whatever he had gained and to get the hell out of here.
He did not know when the vortex surrounding him was going to fade. His mana core formation had triggered some sort of phenomenon, which had given him a lot of control over mana, but clearly, this wasn’t going to last. He needed to act fast.
