Damon slowly turned his head toward her, one brow twitching, the exhaustion on his face briefly overridden by utter disbelief.
"...What?"
Aurora looked like she immediately regretted asking but pushed through anyway. "I just... I’ve never seen a real vampire’s fangs before. Can I please take a teeny tiny looksie?"
Damon blinked. Then blinked again. A long silence passed between them, broken only by the wind and the distant hum of spatial distortion still gnawing away at the metallic fortress.
Finally, with a dramatic sigh, he leaned forward slightly and bared his teeth, just enough to let her see the sharp, elegant curve of his fangs gleaming under the cold light. "There. Happy now, weirdo?"
Naturally he was extremely alert at the moment to make sure that the tyrannical priestess did not pull a surprise one over him and attack him with some sort of fang poison but contrary to his thoughts nothing really happened.
Aurora reached out with trembling fingers and gently touched the tip of one fang. Her eyes widened, and a strange little laugh escaped her. "Warm... I thought it’d be cold."
"I’m not a fucking ice sculpture," Damon muttered.
She did not seem to care. She continued running her fingers over it and then weirdly stared staring into his eyes. "Wow, such a beautiful red."
