Chapter 62: I like big chests
Damon did not remember very many details about Garth City except for the zone event. He knew there was a world boss trigger somewhere, but it was not coming to him right this second. So after finishing his task with the tailor shop, he simply prepared to leave the city.
He opened his system screen and saw that Mark and Kate still weren’t online. He thought about it for a moment and decided to wait a while before teleporting.
He might be rolling in gold coins now, but the game was a money drain. The gold he had probably wouldn’t even last him for the next couple of days. It was best to avoid teleporting back and forth if possible.
He also had many rewards saved up, which his hands were itching to open. Damon walked over to one of the top-tier restaurants in Garth City and ordered himself a nice cup of coffee and some snacks.
Damon took a seat by the window, far from the buzz of the main floor. His crimson eyes scanned the quiet street outside while he sipped his coffee. It was good. Surprisingly so. Rich, bitter, and bold—like everything else he liked these days.
The waitress who came to serve him hovered around him for a moment, flashing her splendid assets in his face a couple of times. With a smile, Damon allowed himself to enjoy the view. He was not a saint.
But after a few seconds, he switched his focus to his system screen. There was a lot that needed to be done, and extra-curricular activities could wait until he had a good grip on everything.
With one hand wrapped around the cup, Damon opened his inventory. Rows of loot shimmered before his eyes. His shadow clone had meticulously collected all the dropped items, and surprisingly, many of them were quite good.
There were also other drops from the many kills and the dungeon run. Damon quickly ignored everything and paid attention to the legendary skill roll token first. Just looking at the thing made his heart ache.
Everyone right now were envious of him for obtaining such an item, but this particular item was a huge headache. Even though the name was legendary skill roll, there was only a 1% chance of actually obtaining a legendary skill.
How could the game toss around skills or weapons that were legendary tier? This was a rare reward, alright, and there was a big chance of getting a rare-grade skill. However, when it came to legendary skill? It was the same as buying lottery tickets. Never gonna happen.
