Despite knowing she wouldn’t be able to outrun the alpha’s beast, Dawn still tried to escape from him. She was even shocked that he actually managed to find her.
She didn’t want to talk to him, not yet. Dawn still needed time to gather her thoughts.
Yes, it was something that happened in their past lives and nothing like that had happened in this lifetime and Zenith had kept his promise that he was going to fix it.
Unlike Blake, he kept his word and accomplished the unthinkable. Dawn didn’t even think that turning back time was something that you could do, but Zenith did it. At what cost? Every magic has a price that you have to pay.

Therefore, in her desperate attempt to get away from him, she ran, knowing she had no chance of escaping.
However, the black beast actually didn’t stop her when he caught up to her. Instead, he ran beside her, as if they were taking a leisurely walk together.
Annoyed, the brown beast stopped and barked at the other beast, Dawn even attacked Zenith in her beast form. But, anyone who saw this would just laugh at her clumsy attempts and how the alpha let his mate nip at his neck.
Dawn intended to bite his neck and cause some serious ’damage’ to him, but the black beast surrendered to her. He didn’t even try to dodge her attack and at the last second, Dawn changed her mind.
