Tony couldn’t even say a word when the realization hit him; what he had done to his mate had happened to his precious daughter as well. Was this Karma? But, why was it his daughter who had to bear it?
"What? Only now have you realized that this is Karma?" Dawn said, seemingly able to understand what had left her father at a loss of words. She chuckled when she continued. "Don’t worry. You couldn’t escape Karma either."
Dawn then took a step closer to her father, still holding the dagger in her hand. Tony thought his daughter was going to stab him like she had done to Blake earlier, and he braced himself. He deserved this. He wouldn’t retaliate.
If giving up his life was what it would take for Dawn to forgive him, he would do it without hesitation. The past few months had been a torture for him. He was racked with guilt and now tha Dawn finally learned about his affair and Emily’s birth secret, he couldn’t even ask for forgiveness.
However, Dawn didn’t want that. Death was a mercy.
She wanted her father to feel the pain she had felt, and then some. "Do you really think you can trust her? Do you really think that woman is loyal to you? Do you think your beta is loyal to you? He covered up your affair, do you really think he didn’t have any hidden agenda?"
Dawn saw a flicker of shock in her father’s eyes, she continued.
"You are so stupid, Alpha, if you’ve never seen the signs. Don’t wail over my absence, because I won’t be a part of your life anymore, but see what kind of people you chose over losing me."
Tony didn’t understand what Dawn was trying to say, but her words stuck in his mind and planted a seed of doubt for Julia and Jason in him, and that was what Dawn wanted.
