His Naughty Lessons

Chapter 302: It’s a Tradition

** Harper **

The wedding dress was a masterpiece from Sean, one that he had spent a whopping six months working on. Taking a completely different approach from the extravagant evening gown last year, he had created something not at all similar this time, yet even more breathtaking.

The overall design was a classic A-line, simple at first glance with the standard off-the-shoulder neckline and chapel-length train. Nothing showy or dramatic like the asymmetrical patterns, sheer fabric, or hanging shoulder bands. But the beauty was all in the details. Gorgeous floral laces flowed from the bodice all the way down to the hem of the train, intricate yet elegant, giving off a French country vibe that resonated with the feel of the venue. The silk itself was encrusted with thousands of diamonds throughout, with the largest one centered on the bodice like a pendant and the smallest ones so tiny that they were almost impossible to see. Only the brilliant sparkles betrayed their existence, making the whole gown glitter like a jewel of its own.

Combined with a delicate neckline that accentuated Harper’s collarbones like magic, and those misty layers of skirt that draped in a graceful flare down her waist, and a matching veil with crystals that seemed to blend into one with the dress ... The design was like a signature creation made with all of Harper’s dreams in mind, and she couldn’t have even imagined anything more romantic, more fairytale-like than this wedding day look.

She couldn’t stop trying to envision Eli’s face when he finally got to see her. He should like it too, right?

By the time everyone was done with her hair and makeup, Harper was already itching to get her hands on the dress. After examining the final touchups and confirming that she loved them, her eyes once again flew straight to the dress before she even got out of the chair.

"Alright, time for the real deal now. Everyone out." Chelsea was quick to understand what the bride was thinking, getting smoothly into her role as the maid of honor and shooing all the bridesmaids to their own preparation room. She herself stayed to help Harper, and she whistled when she darted admiring glances between the dress and the bride.

"You’re really going for the bride of the century, girl. What is it like to have a fiancé to pick up the bill for such a princess gown?"

Harper snorted a laugh. "You know what, I honestly have no idea how much this even costs. I did ask the designer to use rhinestones instead of real diamonds, but he said Eli would murder him if he knew the material wasn’t the absolute best, so I surrendered."

"Hmm, I can totally see that ... Though you didn’t answer my question, sweetheart."
