Harper failed to bite back a hard moan as she trembled, teetering precariously on the edge as soon as Eli made his landing. It felt like an edge of life and death ... the most blissful of all deaths. She was already rendered defenseless by the way he kissed and touched her, fervent and adoring as if every brush of his lips and fingertips was a homage to something that was dear to him. His hot breath tickled her, blending into the heat of her own feverish skin, threatening to burn her alive. Harper gasped for air, but it didn’t help with the tension that was winding up inside her way too fast, way too strong. When he flattened his tongue against her, drawing a sensual swipe across that swollen bundle of nerves, she could no longer control the shivering cry that hovered in the depth of her throat. The unexpected move elicited a gasp out of her. Residual tremors were still pulsing through her body, and they intensified at his renewed attention, sending a new wave of tiny shudders down her spine. "W-What are you doing?" she asked in a daze, not yet able to process what was happening.
"Drinking you up," Eli stated the obvious with his mouth still on her. The vibration of his reply sent another bolt of shudder spreading through her limbs. "Unless there’s something else you’d rather like me to do?"
