Chapter 463- Voices and Faces.
George had just finished the meeting and was waiting for Ariel when Paige informed him that Anaya Jakes was outside his office.
"Please send her in," he tried to sound more professional, straining to suppress his happiness. He hastily got up and dashed to the door to welcome her.
The office door was opened, and Anaya peeked inside with that cute tilt of her head.
"Hello, ma’am," he grabbed her wrist to draw her inside and shut the door, "Welcome to my office," his arms were wrapped around her waist as he looked down at her flushed face.
"Happy birthday again," she raised the packet of crisps to his eye level, "You left this in my locker?"
"I left this in your locker!" he nodded and kissed her lips.
"Somebody might have noticed, George," she tried pushing him away by placing her palm on his chest, but he didn’t budge.
"So what? Let them. By the way, I went inside with the excuse of inspection," he said with a wink and Aniya rolled her eyes.
"Will we keep standing here?" she shot him a quick side glance and pointed to the sofa, "What’s that for?"
He pulled her again into him and placed his cheek on her head, "Stay like this, little dove!"
Aniya wanted to shake her head in annoyance. But his closeness didn’t allow her to move it.
