In the coming days, it was proved that Aniya was right. Paige had indeed hit her head with something and had started acting weird with everyone.
Especially with Aniya.
She had gotten friendly with her, trying to facilitate her in every possible way.
"Anaya. Mr. George Donovan wants to see you," one fine morning she informed Aniya with a sweet smile.
Gone was the girl who used to get possessive and sarcastic with every employee of the office.
The same day when Aniya was leaving George’s office after getting kissed thoroughly, Paige greeted her with a big smile and walked with her to the elevator.
"We should have lunch or dinner someday," she suggested to Aniya and Aniya could only nod in shock.
"Yeah..." she responded with a shrug.
Aniya found it funny though. She was supposed to be worried about her growing love for George, instead, she was more concerned about Paige’s weirdly positive behavior.
"Anaya. You should be very careful with this woman. She was never sweet with anyone and now suddenly she is acting as if she cares for you and is your well-wisher."
Olivia tried to warn her friend during lunchtime in the office café. Aniya kept chewing her food. She was also doubtful about Paige’s sudden change in her behavior.
