Chapter 378- Hakuna Matata, Rafael!
Rafael was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding his head, while Marissa was kneeling close to him, her hands placed on his lap for comfort.
Sophia was sitting at some distance, while stunned silence lingered in the room.
"So, this means, Nina was here after the event after she..." Sophie raised her head to look at her friends, "after she attempted to kill Rafael and then stayed outside our house so that we could witness her presence. How smart!"
Sophie didn’t know what Rafael was feeling. He dragged Nina to the police station because, when he looked at her face, he suddenly remembered his past. Not only had his recent memory been back but his childhood memory also returned.
On his way back, he gradually started getting flashbacks of the room where Nina tortured him.
Sophie wished she could help him to go through this, but he needed to walk this path alone.
"Rafael!" she called him, but his hands remained there on his face, "Once you channel all your feelings, I’m sure you will be free from all the past traumas."
At last, Rafael removed his hands and both Marissa and Sophie were startled. His face had turned crimson while struggling to keep his emotions in check.
He shook his head and at last looked at Marissa, "The seven-year-old in me is... traumatized. Just to wipe my memory... Nina inflicted so much pain on me and my soul. I don’t know what my mother must be feeling when she tried to run away and all I did was make it harder for her."
