Chapter 283- A changed Nina
Marissa took the kids to the grocery mart because she thought they would enjoy the experience but all they kept doing in the store was talking about Rafael. Marissa’s health coach had asked her to let the kids talk about their father.
But now it had started taking a toll on her mental health.
The girls were telling Georgie how their father bought them everything except those flavored candies. A gentle smile tugged on Marissa’s lips.
Last time, while standing at the cash counter, she treated Rafael as if she didn’t know him at all when he was taking out all those condom packets from the cart.
I hope you can come back. Just once, Rafael. Just once. I swear I won’t stand there like a stranger, no matter how embarrassing the situation is.
"Ma’am! Ma’am!"
Marissa jolted back into reality when Georgie shook her hand, "Aunt Marissa. It’s your turn now," Marissa glanced back and found the people standing behind her looking at her oddly.
"Isn’t she Marissa Sinclair? Her event at Msin was covered by channels."
"Oh, my, my. Are these Rafael Sinclair’s kids? They are so cute..."
Marissa quickly paid the bill on the counter and left the store.
"Hurry up, kids," she slipped back her dark shades and got settled with the kids in the back seat. With each passing day, it was getting worse for her.
