Chapter 269- The Event (IV)
Valerie wasn’t paying attention to Nina. Nor she was paying attention to the boy walking ahead. She felt as if she might fall when she saw who was following the little girls.
Wearing a classy black dress, her arm hooked through Rafael’s, Marissa was walking with a proud grin on her face.
The little girls were wearing exactly the same dresses as their mom except they had full sleeves, and Marissa’s dress was sleeveless.
The clapping and cheering were deafening, and she was waving at the guests with a warm smile. Rafael was also grinning from ear to ear.
Valerie felt her face heating up when she saw Marissa saying something in Rafael’s ear. He also bent his head to listen to her wholeheartedly and then kissed her cheek.
Sophia slowly turned her head and found Nina and Valerie standing there like two pieces of rock, not able to move.

She wished she could push them out of this house that belonged to her friend. Their facial expressions were priceless.
Seeing her friend, happily walking to the stage was such a fulfilling sight.
Alex climbed the stage and then helped Ariel by reaching out to her. Rafael picked up Abi and climbed the stairs with one arm around Marissa’s waist.
Once they reached the stage, Rafael put down Abi and raised his hand to greet all the guests.
