Chapter 251- Valerie and Nina’s faces
"Can you talk to Mr. Sinclair, Marissa? He has sent all of us home. Today they didn’t let us enter the MSin building."
Peter sounded so miserable on the phone and Marissa felt guilty. Rafael had instructed Dean to send back all of them and cancel the event.
"We all were standing outside the building and even asked the guard to call some higher official so that we could talk. But the guard was so rude..." Peter’s voice felt like he could cry any minute.
According to him, most of the team was really worried. They were hoping to earn more than enough from the event. The event meant more earnings, good exposure, and a chance to get orders from abroad clients.
But after that unexpected injury of Denzel, everyone was skeptical about their jobs and future.
"Don’t worry, Peter. I’ll talk to Mr. Sinclair about it. None of you would lose your jobs," This was the second event member calling her and begging her to take them back.
She couldn’t get the chance to talk to Rafael in detail and was pretty sure she could easily get him convinced.
"Delinda is also worried because she needs to pay the schooling fee of her kid," The mention of Delinda’s name left a sour taste in her mouth.
She didn’t feel any empathy for the woman.
"I’ll try my best, Pete. Just keep working on your murals. Nothing is happening to the event. And I’m sure your murals will rock."
After getting done with her call she walked out to the garden where Sophie was waiting for her.
