Chapter 246- Poison
When Rafael entered the corridor of the hospital, Dean was already there leaning against the wall. His folded arms dropped down as soon as he spotted Rafael.
"What’s the situation?" he asked Dean looking at the ICU door.
"I’m sorry. I didn’t want to call you here, but the doctors told me that his life was in danger," Rafael placed his hand in his jeans pocket.
This kind of incident never happened in any MSin office.
"Did you check CCTV footage for something unusual?" he asked in a hardened tone. Dean remembered about Delinda, but he wasn’t sure of it. He couldn’t name an innocent person until he had proof.
"According to MSin policies our cameras are only outside of the meeting rooms, not inside, Mr. Sinclair."
Rafael scratched his forehead. He needed to get in touch with someone related to law enforcement.
"Why have our seats got nails? Didn’t we throw away that pathetic quality furniture a long time back? And if they were there, why nobody got injured before today?" he said more to himself, and then his eyes formed narrow slits when he saw Dean, deep in thought.
"What’s the matter? There is more to it. Isn’t it?"
Dean rolled his lips between his teeth with uncertainty, "The seat that had nails, belonged to ..." he hesitated for a moment, "It belonged to Marissa, Sir."
Rafael thought he heard it wrong.
