Chapter 203- Hakuna Matata
Rafael was captivated by her. His eyes were on her face as she slept.
"You don’t know what you have been doing to me, Marissa," he told her sleeping figure and brushed his knuckle against her cheek.
He seemed mesmerized by her and couldn’t peel his eyes off her face.
They were still at the poolside, lying on the blanket. Propped on one elbow, he wasn’t getting tired of staring at her. Just then Marissa decided to move her leg over him, shifting her body closer to him. The naked leg was now exposed to his eyes. It must be the umpteenth time he fixed the blanket over her, and she had thrown it away.
His kids were better sleepers than their mom. He thought with a chuckle.
He bent a little to kiss her cheek, "You are becoming my addiction," he whispered near her face and found a subtle smile there.
Was she really sleeping or was faking it? He thought with a frown but then got convinced that she was sleeping like dead. Her light snoring was a telltale sign.
"Come on, Strawberry," he tossed the blanket aside and got to his feet. She needed to be in a comfortable bed because they had to start an early day in the office.
With great care and ease, he scooped her in his arms and started walking to the door. He had to use his foot to slide it and then walked to the elevator.
Due to the late night, there were hardly any guests. Only a few staff members could be seen who acted like he was invisible.
