That night when Kate got on her bed, she was happy. She couldn’t believe that Marissa was slowly handing over the reins to her. And there must be only one reason.
She was scared. The cute fatty girl was scared.
The damn woman was aware that Kate was more deserving. The way she was treating her, it was evident that she had accepted her defeat.
Kate could feel her phone vibrating, but she chose to ignore it. It couldn’t be anyone but Amir. He wanted to come back into her life however Kate didn’t want him anymore.
After John Harris, she had learned an important lesson. Why be dependent on a man when she could easily achieve everything without him?

No matter how well Marissa treated her. Kate was aware the that ladder to success wasn’t through Marissa. It was through Valerie Sinclair.
Nina and Valerie were busy fighting each other but there were chances that Valerie would benefit most from the office politics. The legal wife always had the upper hand in first-world countries.
Ultimately Nina had to let go of the power she had on Rafael.
"So that’s final," she told herself while clutching the pillow against her chest, "No matter how faithful I stay with Marissa or Nina. I need to give more importance to Valerie. She would be my key to success. I just need to win her heart and trust."
Kate closed her eyes not knowing what the next day would bring her. She was sure it would be better and more productive.
