Chapter 32: Can I Control Rin?
Rin couldn’t move for a moment, hearing Lucien’s threat. His feet were glued to the floor as he stared across the clinic. Through the lifted blinds, Lucien stood with the kind of terrifying calm that didn’t need yelling to shake a room. His eyes were cold, unreadable, and focused only on him.
On Rin.
’Why is he here? Has he been stalking me? Watching me?’
He clenched his fist, turning to Dorian who had pinned Theron to the floor.
"Dorian, Let. Him. Go," Rin said again, his voice firmer this time but Dorian didn’t move. He didn’t show any sign of listening to Rin at all. Theron was still on the floor, his hands struggling against the tendrils of shadow magic that pinned him down like he was no more than a stray caught in a trap.
"Get off me, you bastard!" Theron grunted as he struggled, but Dorian didn’t budge. He was too strong.
"I said let him go!" Rin barked again. He stepped forward, as if he could help Theron.
Before he could get closer, a loud crack echoed. The clinic doors swung open with a violent force as Lucien stepped inside, ignoring Theron, who was on the floor. He walked in with his damned head raised. His uniform shirt was struggling with his huge chest.
Theron’s head snapped up. His lips curled in a grimace.
"Lucien Vortellion... You’re breaking the school rules. Do you know the implications of doing that?"
Lucien didn’t glance at him.
He walked straight to Rin, gently took his hand, and kissed it softly... deliberately. He was satisfied that there wasn’t a whiff of Theron’s scent on his body.
