Taylor Smith returned home just in time to see Ruffy Smith about to leave.

At the sight of Ruffy, Taylor began to feel a headache coming on, "Where are you off to again?"

Ruffy glanced at Taylor, his narrow eyes full of silent and cold resentment. Having not received a reasonable explanation from Taylor about the hospital incident, Ruffy, who was prone to outbursts, managed to keep his cool—a testament to his impeccable upbringing.

Seeing his son’s demeanor, Taylor sighed, "It’s not that I deceived you, but in my youth, I owed Mr. Moore a favor. When they came asking this time, I couldn’t simply ignore their request."

"The favor is owed by you, not by me," Ruffy’s voice was ice cold, "You know I’ve never liked being deceived by others."

"But a favor that can be repaid by one visit from you is a very profitable deal."

Taylor walked into the hall behind Ruffy, his voice still elegantly calm, "Sit down. Let’s talk this over properly."

Ruffy turned around, his tall frame standing like a statue, except for the cold smirk lingering on his lips, "What is there to talk about? Today’s events? You should be thankful my temper has improved considerably."

After all, as he got older, a twenty-eight-year-old man with more experiences tended to be calmer than before.
