Cecil Jack kept a straight face: "I’ve been back for so long and you didn’t come to visit me, so shouldn’t I be allowed to come see you?"
"That’s not it." Ellen stepped forward: "I’ve heard from them that you’ve been busy with your experiments, so naturally I didn’t want to disturb you."
