Chapter 949: Qian Cheng Leaves
Little Fox had no objection to Jiang Xue’s decision. There’s plenty of space; adding a snake won’t matter.
So, while reaching into the drawer to get a book, Jiang Xue put Little Snake into the space to keep Little Fox company.
After class in the afternoon, Jiang Xue didn’t linger in the classroom and went home. Yesterday, Mu Qiancheng had already given her the money, which she needed to hand over to Shangguan Wenbin.
Last night, Shangguan Wenbin didn’t come home and stayed at the company with Wang Jun.
When she returned home, Shangguan Wenbin wasn’t back yet, so Jiang Xue played with their son for a while and then went upstairs to read. Meanwhile, Mu Qiancheng was packing, as he was leaving the next day.
Mu Qiancheng planned to first return to Xu City, then travel from there to Beijing. The thought of Mu Qiancheng leaving made it hard for Jiang Xue to focus on her book.
Finally, she came out of the study and helped Mu Qiancheng with his packing.
After they finished packing, the couple sat on the bed, talking privately, until Mrs. Niu called them for dinner.
During dinner, Shangguan Wenbin came back. He knew Mu Qiancheng was leaving, so he came back on purpose to drive him to the train station the next day.
Jiang Xue had actually wanted to go too, but Mu Qiancheng feared she might cry, so he didn’t let her take leave. Jiang Xue also knew that if she went to see Mu Qiancheng off, she wouldn’t want him to leave.
After all, this time, they would be apart for a long time. And she had school, so there wouldn’t be much time to visit him.
Although Mu Qiancheng’s studies only lasted two years, he would stay in Beijing afterward. So, for the couple to reunite, Jiang Xue would have to wait until she graduated.

After dinner, everyone sat together and chatted a bit. Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang gave Mu Qiancheng some advice, and then let the couple go upstairs.
Little Reunion stayed with them, and they took care of him for the night. Upstairs, Mu Qiancheng and Jiang Xue didn’t do anything or speak. They just held each other, unwilling to let go.
"Xue’er, don’t be sad. Four years will pass quickly. By then, we’ll be reunited as a family in Beijing," Mu Qiancheng said, wiping Jiang Xue’s tears while comforting his young wife.
"I know, but I can’t bear to part with you."
"I can’t bear to part with you either," Mu Qiancheng whispered. He wouldn’t have considered going to Beijing if it weren’t for a better future, if it weren’t for more time with his young wife.
Time flew by quickly; a night passed in no time. The next morning, the couple got up at the same time and then had breakfast.
After breakfast, Mu Qiancheng first drove Jiang Xue to school. At the school gate, Jiang Xue hesitated to get out of the car, holding onto Mu Qiancheng tightly and kissing him just before class started.
Mu Qiancheng was stunned at first but quickly responded. After a while, Jiang Xue released her hold on Mu Qiancheng’s waist and said, "Qian Cheng, remember to miss me, I’ll miss you too."
"Don’t worry, I’ll think of you all the time," Mu Qiancheng smiled, watching his young wife get out and enter the school gates.
Only when her figure disappeared from view did he drive away.
Jiang Xue didn’t look back, afraid she would cry. In fact, she was already crying, just unwilling to let the tears fall.
The first class today was a large lecture with several classes combined, so there were quite a few people. When Jiang Xue arrived, the professor hadn’t come yet.
