Ming Lan waited quietly in the dark for a while, seeing that aside from the person she had arranged to meet, there was no one else in the grove; she then stealthily approached the person from behind, picked up a large stone, and smashed it onto the person’s head.
With a thud, the person let out a muffled groan and then collapsed to the ground. Watching the person fall, Ming Lan finally calmly tossed aside Jiang Xue’s phone, pretending to flee in panic.
Having staged the scene, Ming Lan returned to the hotel and waited half an hour before arranging for someone to make the emergency call to the police.
