Chapter 441: Jiang Xue Gets Beaten
He had lived most of his life and quickly understood the current situation. So he made the decision he thought was most appropriate.
He was already old, but Jiang Xue and Little Reunion were young and small; they were the ones who should leave.
"Dad, they’re after me. And don’t worry, as long as you and Little Reunion are safe, I won’t be in danger." Jiang Xue urged again. She knew she couldn’t delay any longer because Mu Siwu was already shivering with cold.
So, she directly shoved the phone into Mu Siwu’s hand and quickly rubbed her bracelet to release the Little Fox.
As soon as Little Fox appeared, it dashed away. Neither the men nor Mu Siwu saw it clearly before it disappeared from sight.
"Dad, go quickly!" Jiang Xue pushed Mu Siwu, then took steps towards those trying to capture her.
"Let them go!"
The leader signaled, and someone immediately stepped forward to grab Jiang Xue, then released Little Reunion and Mu Siwu.
"Xue’er!" Mu Siwu shouted once. Meeting Jiang Xue’s gaze, he said nothing and left with Little Reunion in his arms.
Jiang Xue watched the two of them leave, only retracting her gaze when they were out of sight.
"Let’s go!" the leader of the men ordered. Several henchmen grabbed Jiang Xue and took her away. After a short walk, Jiang Xue saw a car parked by the roadside.
They escorted her into the car and headed towards the Hailong Hotel. They didn’t take the main entrance but rather a little-known back entrance.
There weren’t many people at the back entrance, and nobody saw when Jiang Xue was taken upstairs.
When Ming Lan woke up, she saw Jiang Xue tied up in the living room. Seeing Jiang Xue, she couldn’t help but feel pleased. She first thanked Gong Hai, then walked over to Jiang Xue and said, "Jiang Xue, you’re finally in my hands."
"What do you want?" Jiang Xue coldly looked at Ming Lan, finally realizing who had orchestrated her capture.
Earlier, she had been wondering who was targeting her. Now, she had all the answers.
"What do I want?" Ming Lan sneered, glancing at Gong Hai and saying, "Ah Hai, is it alright if I handle her?"
"Of course, no problem!" Gong Hai agreed promptly. After all, Jiang Xue was captured for Ming Lan, so leaving her to Ming Lan’s disposal was only natural.
"Thank you!" Ming Lan thanked Gong Hai once again, then walked up to Jiang Xue and raised her hand, slapping her hard across the face.
Although Jiang Xue had spiritual power, she was bound and couldn’t retaliate. She could only watch as Ming Lan’s hand came down.
One slap, two, three; Ming Lan lost count of how many times she slapped Jiang Xue until her hand hurt, and then she stopped. Looking at Jiang Xue’s now swollen face, she sneered, "Jiang Xue, you never thought you’d see a day like this, did you?"
Jiang Xue said nothing, just looked at Ming Lan indifferently. It’s just someone relying on others’ power, what’s there to be proud of.
"Not talking?" Ming Lan had expected Jiang Xue to beg for mercy, but she said nothing, just looked at her, which made Ming Lan angry.
Not begging for mercy? How infuriating. It seemed Ming Lan hadn’t hit her hard enough. So, she raised her hand again, about to slap Jiang Xue a few more times.
But on the side, Gong Hai couldn’t bear it any longer. For some reason, seeing Jiang Xue’s stubborn demeanor, a familiar figure flashed through his mind.
