Chapter 32: Best Friend Visits Again
This realization brought a slight joy to Qian Cheng’s heart. He looked deeply at Jiang Xue, who was covered by the blanket, and said in a cheerful tone, "Alright, Xue’er, have a good sleep. I’m going to take a walk around the village."
It was rare for him to come back, so he needed to visit a few of his friends in the village. After all, when he wasn’t home, those friends helped the family a lot.
Hearing the sound of the door closing, Jiang Xue finally stuck her head out from under the blanket, then wiped the sweat from her forehead and took a light breath.
He finally left. If he hadn’t, she thought she might suffocate. Jiang Xue lay on the bed for a while longer before climbing out to get some fresh air.
Before leaving the room, she deliberately put on the hat her mother-in-law had bought her, and added a thicker coat before going out.
The house was quiet; Qian Cheng and her parents-in-law had gone out. Jiang Xue first went to the bathroom, then took a walk in the yard before returning inside.
Just as she got back to the room and lay down, she heard Cheng Li’s voice, along with Qian Cheng’s voice.
Hearing Cheng Li’s voice, Jiang Xue couldn’t stay in bed any longer. She got up and left the room. As soon as she stepped out, she saw Qian Cheng bringing Cheng Li in.
Cheng Li was smiling, talking to Qian Cheng as they walked. That smile, in Jiang Xue’s eyes, was extremely dazzling.
For some reason, seeing Cheng Li and Qian Cheng together made her feel very uncomfortable.
"Qian Cheng, you’re back." Jiang Xue pretended not to see Cheng Li and directly addressed Qian Cheng.
