Chapter 21: Seeing the Fox Again
It was precisely the Little Fox she had just been talking about.
"Little Fox!" Jiang Xue exclaimed with joy, seeing the Little Fox made her truly happy.
"Silly woman!" The Little Fox rolled its eyes at Jiang Xue, then arrogantly lifted its steps and walked towards the house beside them.
Jiang Xue didn’t immediately follow but watched the Little Fox as it walked to the front of the house and stopped.
"Silly woman, what are you standing there doing? Hurry up and come over!" The Little Fox rolled its eyes again at Jiang Xue, seeing her still standing there dazed.
Calling this woman silly, indeed she is silly. Still standing there in a daze, doesn’t she know to follow? Doesn’t she know there’s a surprise waiting for her in this house?
"Oh, coming!" Jiang Xue responded, then stepped forward. She still had some minor complaints about being called a silly woman by the Little Fox.
However, seeing that the Little Fox was an animal, not a human, she decided not to mind. Wouldn’t arguing with a fox just lower her own intelligence?
The Little Fox waited for Jiang Xue for a moment before pushing open the door of the house.
"Come in!" The Little Fox called to Jiang Xue, as if the house were its own home.
Driven by curiosity, Jiang Xue followed the Little Fox into the house. Inside, the walls were covered with beautiful ancient paintings.
In the paintings was a woman dressed in ancient clothing, appearing ethereal and otherworldly.
