Chapter 31: Netherworld Cat
Swoosh swoosh swoosh!
The two quietly walked, having been in the Hundred Thousand Mountains for half a day now. Along the way, they encountered various demon beasts—foxes, rabbits, antelopes, moose, wild boars, and so on—but they merely glanced at them without hunting.
Hunting demon beasts follows two principles: first, beasts of too low value shouldn’t be hunted; second, beasts that are too dangerous shouldn’t be hunted.
The two continued forward, constantly searching for a target.
Along the way, they encountered some demon beasts engaged in battle. There were wolf demon beasts hunting rabbits, and wolves fighting porcupines. Many demon beasts were engaged in life-and-death struggles.
Due to racial reasons, many demon beasts fought quite fiercely.
Many demon beasts died at the mouths of other demon beasts.
The two avoided them.
Along the way, they also encountered some mountain ranges, lakes, valleys, cliffs, and other regions. Beneath the ground, spirit veins were buried, no less than those in the Wu Family marketplace.
But these areas belonged to others, occupied by Foundation Establishment Great Demons.
