Ren, Teepo, Artemis, and Zetaya spent a full 2 hours inside the Sanctuary, which turned out to be about 4.6 years, or 1679 days. Since Ren had read his 4 stat increase books every day (Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Wisdom) and did the corresponding exercises to increase the other 3 stats, he gained 1,679 to each of his stats.

Artemis stepped out first as she held Ren's hand, and Ren came out next. He was touching Zetaya's arm stub, and the fire elemental barely fit through the door. Zetaya stood up and was almost 15 feet tall.

“I can't believe you fed Zetaya so much!” Artemis said and rubbed Zetaya's belly. “Imagine! Upgrading to a Greater Fire Elemental!”

Zetaya let out a loud crackling fire, and Ren laughed.

“My Hands of the Gods ability Burning Hands, was apparently very tasty.” Ren said and rubbed Zetaya's belly, too. “I'm glad it worked, but now you're going to be cramped inside the forge.”

“Just use the Permanent Enlarge and Reduce Anything spell.” Teepo suggested. “Zetaya will only be 7.5 feet tall then.”

“Ha! I never thought of that.” Ren said and looked way up at Zetaya's head stub. “What do you think? Do you want to be smaller again?”

Zetaya had to think about it, and Ren felt its indecision.

“Let's get you into the forge first, and you can decide later.” Ren said and took Zetaya over to the warehouse and opened the forge door. Zetaya squeezed inside and its head stub almost scraped the roof. “It's close, but you still fit.”

Zetaya nodded and hugged him, and Ren hugged back.

“See you later.” Ren said and stepped outside, then shut the door. “Artemis, thanks for putting up with me all that time.”

“Like I had a choice.” Artemis teased.

Ren took a step up into the air and took her hands as he started to sing. “Yes, it's true. I am happy to be stuck with you.”

Artemis snorted a laugh as Ren swung their arms from side to side.

“Yes, it's true (yes, it's true), I'm so happy to be stuck with you.” Ren sang. “ 'Cause I can see (I can see), that you're happy to be stuck with me-ee. ”

“All right, all right.” Artemis said to stop him before he sang the rest of the song. “You better get over to the apartment to meet them.”

Ren let her hands go and hugged her, then kissed her cheek. He ran across the road and into the Main House, then up the stairs to the apartment. He had kept the All-Seeing Mirror focused on Frikara and the maids in the Dwarven Kingdom, and had watched their interactions with the clerk in slow motion. He knew he had a few minutes left to go, so he sat down on the bed to wait.

“Show status.” Ren said and looked at the popup.
