Mythran's Master Of All

Ren came out of the back of the shop, and saw Holly was hanging all over the ex-delivery man, and Katie only had eyes for him.

I wonder if he has the Prince Charming title, too. Ren asked himself.

“Let's do this.” The man said and used both of his hands to crack his knuckles menacingly. Holly giggled at the sound, and she looked at Ren expectantly. Unable to resist a little showing off, he concentrated on his Fear Aura. Holly gasped and her eyes widened as Ren held out a single hand and used Iron Grip to make a fist. It made a much louder knuckle cracking sound, and she stared at Ren as he did the other hand.

“In the street.” The man said a bit angrily because he had been shown up so easily, and Ren shook his head.

“No way.” Ren said. “I paid to have everything repaired already. I'm not going to wreck it.”

“Like I care about that.” The man said.

“Let's just go outside the North Gate of the city.” Ren said. “There's lots of open space there for a fight.”

“Fine.” The man said. “But this isn't going to take long.” He smiled. “I'm going to chew you up and spit you out.”

“I certainly hope not.” Ren said and handed Anabelle the crate of his valuables and she stored it. The group left the shop and Ren stopped beside Princess and Janice. “I've got nothing against alternate lifestyles, but I love women. The thought of having a man chew on me is disgusting.”

The man looked like he was going to attack, then changed his mind. Holly on the other hand, had laughed out loud and leaned down to whisper.

“Make sure you give me a good show.” Holly said in his ear. “Even if you lose, I'll 'chew' on you as much as you want.”

Ren didn't turn to say that he didn't want her to do that, because he knew that she would just laugh at him and say that all men would want it. What he did was tell Janice and Princess what was going on, and Janice looked at the man. He was almost a foot taller than her, and had a nice body; but, she could tell right away that he would be one of the customers at the Pink Pearl that the girls would avoid. There was just something off about him.

The group of people walked through the streets and out through the North Gate to the relatively open area beyond it. They had picked up quite a few townspeople that wanted to see what was going on and had followed them out of curiosity. Ren asked them all to stay by the wall, so if anything happened, they could duck inside the city for protection. Holly protested at first, because she wanted to be right next to the action; then Ren built her a platform to sit on, and she could see over the top of everyone's heads.

“Get ready!” The man said.

“Just a minute.” Ren said and took out the Staff of Earth. He used it to flatten out a 100 foot by 100 foot area and raised it up slightly. The man stared at the staff with envious eyes while Ren worked. When the flat area was done, Ren stored the staff and equipped his full set of gold-colored armor, his hammerpick, and his Golden Shield of Sundering.

“This is going to be fun.” The man said and equipped his own armor and drew both swords from his belt. The armor was a dull silver with etchings on it, and Ren didn't recognize the markings. He activated Enchanted Eyes, Decipher, and Read Rune. The armor glowed, and he picked out Protection runes in the unknown glyphs, and found a new rune.
