“That's where you're wrong.” Ren said. “I do have a choice.”

“Come with us peacefully.” One of the guards said and reached out to take Ren's arm. Ren concentrated on his Fear Aura, grabbed the guard's arm and pulled him close, then dug his other hand into the guard's thick leather armor and used Iron Grip. He picked the guard up, flung him around several times and clubbed the other three guards into unconsciousness.

The guard he held was unconscious as well, mainly because it was his head that had clubbed the other three guards; so, Ren dropped him to the floor and turned back to the king. Silence had filled the room again and no one spoke, and Ren switched his Fear Aura into Command.

“I'm an Adventurer, and I'm getting tired of this garbage.” Ren said and pointed to the king. “Either you do your job properly, or stay out of my way.”

“I AM THE KING!” King Alamast yelled.

That amused Ren to no end and he laughed.

“What's so funny?” The king asked him, crossly.

“Someone once told me that if you have to declare that you're the king, then you aren't really a king.”

“You...” King Alamast said and pulled his hand back. “...insolent...” It looked like he was going to backhand Ren across the face. “...wretch.”

The hand started to move forward and Ren grinned.

“I challenge your right to rule.” Ren said.

Diana, the king's daughter, gasped.

“NO!” Lady Eleanor exclaimed. “Don't... don't do this!”

“He said that I didn't have a choice.” Ren said. “So, I'm choosing to question his authority over me.”

King Alamast looked at Ren's small stature and nodded. “Very well. We will have a battle-”

“Right now.” Ren said. “Right here.”

“No, daddy!” Diana pleaded. “You saw what he did!”

“What are the conditions?” King Alamast asked.

“Armor is allowed.” Ren said. “As is innate abilities.

“Agreed.” King Alamast said and equipped his shiny silver plated armor. “No weapons.”

“Unconsciousness wins the match.” Ren said. “If I win, you and everyone in the Human Kingdom will do everything I tell you to do for the day.”

King Alamast shook his head slightly at the gall he had to ask such a preposterous thing. “And if I win?”

“I'll voluntarily exile myself from the Human Kingdom.”

“Ren!” Railyse said. “You've never fought him before! You don't know what kind of tricks he has!”

“It doesn't matter.” Ren said.

“Very we-.”

“DON'T!” The head healer said. “He's only level 73!”

The king laughed. “If he wants a fight, he will get one. Even at such a pitiful level.” He said and waved an arm. “Clear a space! We need room to-”

“This is fine.” Ren said and stepped into the aisle in front of the podium, and faced the wall with the crest. “This will be quick.”

“Yes, it will.” King Alamast said and cracked his knuckles. “You are going to regret man-handling me.”

“I already regret touching you like that.” Ren said and faked a shiver. The king's nostrils flared as he let his anger show, and Ren smiled at him. Railyse shook her head at their stupidity, stepped aside, and brought Diana and Lady Eleanor with her. It cleared the way behind the king, and Ren nodded his thanks to her.

“On your word.” Ren said to King Alamast.

“Wor-”

Ren's fist shot out in an upward motion and punched him in the chest before he could finish the word. Since Ren had punched upwards, the force of the impact picked the king up and flung him backwards. It dented the armor he wore, shattered several ribs and compressed his chest, which cut off the king's airflow and knocked the wind out of him. Ren used his Web spell, that his Amulet of the Spider let him cast once per hour, to shoot King Alamast as he flew through the air.

The webbing carried the king to the wall behind the podium and stuck him there. Ren had been careful with his aim and made sure to only cover the king from the neck down. King Alamast hit the wall with a dull thud, and slumped into unconsciousness.

“DADDY!” Diana yelled and ran over to him.

“I win.” Ren said, and a moment later, he glowed for a second. When it faded, he got a popup.
