Mythran's Master Of All

Chapter 237 - Home?

Ren came through the portal to the Dwarven Kingdom and sighed. He wasn't looking forward to how Nathalia was going to treat him, but the only thing he could do was face her. Running away or avoiding her was not a solution to the problem. He summoned Teepo, who flew up to land on his shoulder. Ren went downstairs and fed Princess the last of the french toast and syrup from the stack he had in inventory. When she was done eating, she looked at him with sad eyes.

You shouldn't be sad... Princess thought to him, licked his face, and nudged the side of his head with one of her horns.

“I have reason to be.” Ren said and sighed. “My fiance killed Elerlyth, and I'm forcing Elerlyth to not take revenge on her.”

Humans can be so stupid... Princess huffed. They should be honored to be chosen by you...

“Wh-what?” He looked at her with wide eyes.

When a strong male ram chooses to mate... Ewes are privileged to serve... Strong children ensure survival...

“Um... that's not...” Ren smiled. “Humans do it for fun most of the time.”

Princess blew a raspberry. You joke...

“No.” Ren smiled, and scratched her chin. “It usually takes years for them to decide to have children, and even then, it takes a lot of tries to do it.”

Princess shook her head. You humans are crazy...

Ren chuckled. “Come on, let's get me home.” He said. “I've got to see what the situation with Nathalia is now.”

Very well...

Ren led her outside and locked up, then climbed up into the saddle. “Okay.”

Princess trotted through the woods until she came to the road, then unleashed her speed. Teepo chittered in delight as he hung on to Ren's shoulder, and Ren felt the wind bite into his chest. He shook his head when he glanced down at his chest. He'd completely forgotten to repair his clothing.

What did Anabelle think of me, while I worked in the shop like this? Ren thought.

“Forget what she thinks.” Teepo said, then chittered in laughter. “Just imagine what the customers thought!”

Ren snorted a laugh, and he felt Princess' amusement. He equipped his Travelling Clothes to replace the House Neram red suit.

I have to remember to fix the suit and my armor.

It took just under an hour to get back to House Neram Keep. The guard opened the gate without a word, and Ren took Princess into the stable. They greeted Riley and Stacy, and Ren gave Princess some normal food. She accepted it, but she wasn't happy that there wasn't any more french toast.

“I'll see if the restaurant has french fries for supper.” Ren said, and she huffed. “If they don't... yes, I'll make some.”

He felt her gratitude, pat her, then the dogs, and went into the house.

“I'm home.” Ren said, then sighed as he heard Ereka's voice.

“In the kitchen.” Ereka said.

If she's here and not at work, then this can't be good. Ren thought as he walked through the main room and into the kitchen. He could clearly see that Nathalia was crying again, or still crying, while she sat at the table. Ereka stood beside her, with a sad face.

“Hello, Ren.”

“Ereka.” He said, and looked at Nathalia. “Hello, My Lo-”

“Don't!” Nathalia exclaimed, and cut off his words. “I... I can't hear those words right now.”

“Why not?” Ren asked, then looked at Ereka. “What's going on?”

“This.” Ereka said, and came around the table to hand something to Ren. He took it, read it, and got a popup.
