Chapter 234 - High Elves
The High Elves camouflage spell was canceled when they threw the large net. Ren assumed because it was a sudden jerky movement, the spell couldn't hide them anymore. He had been forewarned of the net by Teepo, so he easily rolled out of the way and stood up again.
“Behind!” Teepo said, and Ren turned around to see a jaguar leap towards him. He only had time to open his arms to catch the beast, and the jaguar slammed into him. Thanks to Ren's Unstoppable and Rock Steady skills combined, he was impossible to knock over with both feet on the ground. He heard a crack of bone, and the jaguar mewled in pain.
“I'm so sorry, kitty.” Ren said, as he held the hurt jaguar. It looked like one of it's front paws was broken. “I didn't notice that you didn't have your claws out.”
There was a loud growl from the side, and Ren glanced over to see another jaguar ready to pounce.
“Please, don't.” He said to it, and it eased out slightly from it's crouch. It had seen what had happened to it's mate.
“They're throwing the net again.” Teepo said as he flew down to land on Ren's shoulder.
That's fine. Ren thought, and laid the jaguar down on the street. He knelt over it, took out the Major Healing wand, and touched the jaguar's leg as the net covered them both. “This is going to hurt.”
The jaguar growled, and the other jaguar growled, too. Ren pulled the paw out straight, and the jaguar screamed. He used the Major Healing wand on the paw, and the jaguar quieted right away.
“No!” The Tracker yelled and pulled out his bow. “He's killed it!” He let the arrow go, and it flew across the short distance to hit Ren in the lower back.
“Ugh!” Ren grunted as he lost 10% of his Health. A moment later, he got a popup.
