Mythran's Master Of All

Ren rode Princess for only 30 seconds before Teepo spotted a giant coming towards them.

“Ren! There's a giant coming! It's got a tree, too!”

I wonder. Ren thought. Do you think it's just like the one we just defeated?

“I don't know for sure.” Teepo said. “But, this will be only the second time we've seen a crazy giant use any kind of weapon... oh, wait. Third time.”

What do you mean third time? Ren asked his friend. This will be the second...

“There's a giant behind the one coming.”

Crap. Ren thought, and asked Princess to stop. “Riley and Stacy! To the sides of the hole! Princess, get ready to ram it in the chest!”

Princess dug in her hooves and leaned forward slightly. Ren took out a Fireball wand and replaced the charges with Grease. He also took out the only wand he didn't give Groggot; the Wand of Shrinkage, that had Reduce Person spells in it. Ren was tempted to use the web wand again, but he saw how little effect it had when the giants were moving. He used the Grease wand and covered a good portion of the ground in the section ahead of them.

“Here they come!” Teepo said, and Ren saw the lead giant run towards them. Ren changed his mind and used the web wand to cover the opening behind him with several layers of web, then turned back around.

“Get ready!” Ren said, and the group prepared to pounce on his command.

“Can you believe this guy?” One of the Warriors said as they came over to look down at the devastation the other giant had left, and saw Ren standing against the giants. “Look at him! He's not even scared!”

One of the other Warriors laughed. “Are you kidding? He's taken down a few giants already. What's three more?”

“Two more than he's handled at once.”

“That's true.” The Warrior said, then hollered at Ren. “THERE'S THREE OF THEM!”

“THANKS!” Ren said. “You heard. Attack accordingly!”

The two dogs barked softly, and Ren climbed down off of Princess. She glanced at him, and he smiled.

“You don't need me slowing you down.” He said, and pat her neck and walked to the side a little. She huffed at him, and he felt her amusement. A moment later, the giant in front hit the grease in the next section, slipped and fell, then slid through the opening in the other wall. The tree he carried hooked the wall as the giant slid by, and tore the tree from the giant's grip. It covered part of the opening the giant just came through, and the giant skid across the dry ground on it's side facing Ren.

“Now, Princess!” Ren said, and Princess ran to head butt the giant in the chest, where Ren had seen the large Brain Arthropod Grub come out from. The speed of the giant collided with the speed of Princess, and the giant's mouth opened as a gush of blood and gore came out through the mouth and the nose. It was much more than could possibly come out from a hit like that, so Ren knew the creature had met it's end. Thankfully, neither he nor Princess were in the splash zone as the blood and other things spilled out. Ren webbed the body up to stop the little grubs from escaping, and turned his attention to the next giant.

It hit the grease, fell, and slid into the downed tree the first giant had dropped. There was a sound of bone being crunched, and the giant stopped moving. Ren webbed it's head and the ground to stop the grubs before they escaped, and waited for the last giant. It was a little smarter than the first two, and tried to jump the grease; it mostly succeeded, and landed close to the webbed tree. It's momentum carried it forward, however; it tripped over the second giant and rolled over the tree, to end up in a sitting position right between Riley and Stacy. They both launched Fireballs from the wands in their mouths, and hit the giant in the head at the same time. It hollered in rage, and the dogs grabbed it's arms with their jaws to stop it from moving.

Princess took that opportunity to ram it in the chest, and another burst of blood and gore spewed forth across the ground. The giant's head lolled to the side, and when the dogs let the giant's arms go on Ren's command, the body slumped over. He webbed it up, then took out the Wand of Shrinkage, and shot the first giant. The body reduced in size by half and the weight was cut to an eighth of it's original weight; so the 22 foot giant was now only 11 feet tall and the space available inside of it was also reduced. Ren heard a sloshing sound as all of the grubs inside were crushed.

The spell only worked on humanoids; so he suspected this would happen, and smiled as his idea was confirmed. He shot the other two bodies, and their unwanted passengers were squished as well by the shrunken space they were trying to hide in, then he looted the bodies.
