Once he got the final section of bar stock for the baton down to a proper size, he set it off to the side to cool down. With the steel cooling, he returned to the forge to check the crucible. After removing some slag from the melting metal he let it be so it could continue to melt. He approached the first ingot he poured from the golden ore and sent a gentle breeze over it to cool it a little faster. He was really curious about what it might be.
