Chapter 71: Endgame
While the underground vault echoed with the sounds of chaos, the room was split into two clear battlegrounds.
On one side, Ethan, Luke, and Seraphina fought back-to-back, facing off against Master Yun’s elite guards.
On the other, Gregory was being brutally beaten by the man he once considered a father.
"You useless fucking trash," Master Yun snarled, slamming his knee into Gregory’s stomach. "Is that what you learned from me?"
Gregory’s body jerked from the blow, blood splattering from his mouth as he stumbled backward. But Yun didn’t give him a second to breathe.
"You’re not even worth one percent of the effort I put into you," Yun spat as he delivered a devastating roundhouse kick that knocked Gregory to the floor.
Gregory coughed violently, his mouth filled with blood, but his glare stayed locked on Yun. "Keep talking... old man. That arrogance of yours,it’ll be your downfall."
Yun snorted, amused. "You think you matter? You were a convenience. A tool I sharpened. A hammer doesn’t speak. It smashes when I tell it to."
Gregory pulled himself up using the edge of a broken crate. "You... you’d be nothing without me. You were a nobody when I met you."
Yun walked toward him slowly. "So what? I’m somebody now. I have wealth, power, prestige... while you’re crawling on the ground like a rat."
"Everything you have..." Gregory growled, "was built on my sweat. My skill. I helped you build this empire of dirt!"
