Chapter 225: Unethical Maxim
The nurse was bewildered, ’’Vera, it’s the patient that you handed to Dr. Rick. Don’t you remember that man? He is called Louis.’’
Veronica’s steps faltered.
Alex’s eyes narrowed as he looked at her.
And she barely mustered her strength to mutter, ’’You refused to treat him back then so I had him sent over to someone else...’’
Alex could vaguely remember when Veronica got over a patient whom Maxim did not treat. And back then he was pissed with Maxim, so he turned down the patient in the spur of the moment.
Later, he did not even have the leisure to think about the matter and it was soon pushed out of his head.
How did it escalate to this?
"How is his condition?" Alex turned to look at the nurse who was panicking.
’’Not good. His vitals are dropping. The rest of the team is working on stabilizing his condition after Dr. Rick left,’’ The nurse shook her head.
If not for the anasthesist who strictly refused to give up on a patient’s life just like that, some of them would have worked according to Dr. Rick’s orders and went along with it.
Alex nodded, ’’Get some other doctor over to assist me.’’
