Chapter 165: We named her
"Let me assure you, sweetheart. You can meet men as you want," his large palm settled on her coat, slowly sliding under it as he stroked the fabric of her dress, "But none of them will turn you on as I do. At the end of the day, it will be my mouth you will desire everywhere."
Her breathing fastened. The warmth of his palm seemed to be seeping through the material of her dress, electrocuting her whole body.
She felt strange. She was so turned on by his touch yet his words enraged her.
He wanted to not take it further. After contemplating it, she decided to not push the matter and now that she told him her decision, he was pushing her buttons.
What did he take her for?
"You are not the only man in the world. Stop overestimating yourself," her eyes narrowed.
His palm gripped her waist, thumb drawing circles on the fabric of her dress, "I am not the only man in the world yet you are leaning closer, wanting to be held tighter by me. Such double standards."
"You..." From the corner of her eyes, Diana saw Daisy approaching in their direction.
Before she could say anything to Maxim, he pushed himself back from her. He met her gaze for a second before he turned around and left, followed by Ryle.
Diana glanced at his retreating back till she could not see it anymore.
Her heart was galloping in her chest. She looked at the vase of roses in her hand. On one of the slightly broken rose stems, there was a thin trail of blood near a thorn.
