Crashing into an Old Flame

Chapter 93: Her wedding day

’’I have a very common face. You know you will find tens of people like me in the streets of Los Angeles,’’ Diana awkwardly waved her hand.

The Chef was speechless.

The waiters and waitresses who were silently admiring the striking beauty in front of them were speechless.

Maxim: "_"

The food was served soon and the Chef placed an ice bucket with a bottle of wine on it before he nodded at the both, ’’Enjoy the meal.’’

As they left, Diana’s gaze followed their backs and she spotted them walking towards a five-star restaurant on the other side of the road.

She was still in a daze.

The man from earlier was a Michelin-starred Chef. When she was 14, a girl from the socialite circle had bragged about eating an exclusive meal prepared by some star chef. The news had somehow traveled to her mother’s ears who was annoyed at her for taking it lying down. A month later on her birthday, her father invited this chef to the party. He was not an ordinary person who could be invited by just anyone and she still remembered the jealous looks that those group of girls wore as they started fawning over her. But this man only prepared her meal exclusively, starting from starters to dessert.

Diana had remained very much of a bystander back then. After the party ended, her mother went into lecture mode about how she should always show people where she stood.

A gentle tug on her hand snapped her out of her daze.

Diana blankly glanced at Maxim, ’’I... My parents should not know that I am here,’’ Earlier, the man seemed confused about her identity so she masked it. Even though she knew for a fact that there is not a chance that this Chef was in touch with any of her parents but better safe than sorry.

’’Why?"
