Chapter 62: Sinking ship
Maxim was attending the exams for the next year to graduate early.
Diana did not believe it initially when she heard it from one person but almost everyone in their class was talking about it.
Some people even glared at her for keeping it a secret for so long. They said that they were surprised when they heard it from the professors.
Diana wanted to tell them that unlike them, she was not surprised. She felt shocked beyond anything. But in the end, she only flashed a bitter smile at them.
So, just like that, her determination to only focus on upcoming exams and ignore everything else, for the time being, was crushed to death.
She found herself standing in front of Warners’ warm abode.
Hazel Warner opened the door and her eyes lit up when she saw her, ’’Little Ana! Oh, what a sweet surprise. Come in~"
Diana forced herself to return the woman’s kind smile even though it felt like her insides were turning and twisting.
If he graduated while she was still in university, he would go to his dream medical school. As his friend, she should have been excited for him, but was she? No, she was not.
She did not know what she was feeling. Maxim could do it. She knew he could easily graduate in advance but was she here to check on his progress? No.
She was so selfish that she was here with the hope that he was going to deny the rumors. She hoped that he would tell her that the professors misunderstood him, and being the stingy speaker that he was, he did not waste his words to clarify the rumors and he was waiting for her to help him clarify them as usual.
