And he watched as her eyes widened at his words.

’’Did you think I would say something like that?" Diana rolled her eyes and closed the distance between them as she wrapped her hands around his neck.

With her high heels, he was still a head taller so she tilted her head and pressed her chin on his shoulder, and hugged him tightly.

’’You are so silly, Warner. You are the one who went through so much yet you have the nerve to think about me first,’’ she whispered, swaying him side to side with the hug like she was coaxing a goddamned toddler.

’’Diana...’’

’’Sssh, I know I know I was wrong. I won’t act on impulse ever again,’’ she cut him off.
