Chapter 51: Daisy Chen
Diana’s lips parted in disbelief. She was clearly offended as she watched him clutching his stomach and laughing so hard like he just watched Amy Schumer live.
She glanced at the egg dripping down her jaw, her collarbone, and her waist. She removed the small eggshell that clung to her earlobe like designer hoop earrings.
’’You look good when you laugh,’’ Diana mumbled as she looked at him.
Maxim stopped laughing gradually, wiping the drop of tear from the corner of his eyes.
’’And I really love it when you laugh. Trust me. I really do,’’ Diana narrowed her eyes, ’’But don’t laugh at me. I feel terrible. I did it as people do. I don’t know why it turned out to be like this,’’ she pointed both her hands at herself, ’’Maybe the mommy hen was not in good condition when she laid the eggs or—’’
Maxim stifled his laughter this time. Only Diana would blame a hen after failing to crack an egg decently.
Raking his fingers through his hair, he pushed himself to his full height and strode towards her.
As he stood in front of her, he easily towered over her delicate frame.
Funny how she used to be the tall one when they first met and now she just looked so tiny standing in front of him.
She was not that tiny. But anyway, maybe it was his growth spurt speaking.
’’Alright, I get it. Let me teach you, okay?" Maxim grabbed a few tissues before he cleaned her white dress by dabbling some water with his fingers.
