Crashing into an Old Flame

Chapter 28: Tattoos

The next day.

’’You make the best food, you know?" Diana said to Ivy while having her breakfast.

’’You are up early today,’’ Ivy said, taking a seat next to her at the dining table. Usually, they had meals together when everyone was at home, ’’And you are eating alone,’’ After spending the past few days together, all of them knew that Diana did not like eating alone.

’’Not alone. I asked you to sit with me since you said you aren’t hungry,’’ Diana sipped the juice, ’’And Angel is also accompanying me after having her breakfast,’’ she smiled at the little girl who was sitting on Ivy’s lap, playing with the silk napkins on the table.

’’But... Oh, Sir is here,’’ Ivy said.

Diana paused. She placed the glass of juice on the dining table and pushed herself to her feet.

Maxim’s footsteps slowed down when he saw her.

Diana picked Angel from Ivy’s arms, ’’Thanks for the breakfast, Ivy. I am a fan of your hand really,’’ she winked before walking to her room.

Without looking back at Maxim.

Ivy’s jaws dropped.

Logan was not around but if he was here, he should have been as stunned as her. She was sure of that because there hasn’t been a day when Diana did not fly around Maxim like a butterfly.
