Chapter 49: Increasing statistics
Hardrial approached them as they spoke and stared at Louis, yet said nothing to him.
He was also excited about his student’s success, so he focused on teaching them more things, without going too deep.
He had taken a detour in teaching to teach him to delve deeper into the speed of creating Fabrics.
"What you should aim to accomplish is to get one Fabric per second. Although it is complicated and seemed impossible at first, the reality is that it is very simple. There are even some very high-level mages, like for example Lord Ryu of Lockward, who can perform them in a few milliseconds, being the fastest mage in the Empire."
After saying this, Hardrial showed how he could perform an Arkanometric Fabric in just one second. He could also do some complexes in less than 10 seconds, though some could still take him several minutes.
The difficulty in getting better at this lies in the magical processing ability you may have. When mana leaves your body, your intent affects the threads around you, and you can quickly use them to formulate a Fabric, which you then have full control of. This is called Magical Processing.
This is where the difficulty of creating Arkanometric Fabric lies, but at the same time, the ease.
It is difficult because you don’t have to draw them; you must do it only mentally and with the pure power of intention. If you don’t have a good magic power, in a fight, someone could affect you and prevent you from being able to create it correctly.
In this regard, illusionists are very annoying because many specialize in this kind of illusion.
One option is to create it beforehand and have them drawn already, which everyone does, but battles are unpredictable. You will always have to create numerous Fabrics during them, which is why getting better at this is so important.
Because of this, the amount of mana you can spread out is so important. The more mana, the easier it will be to formulate the Fabric, as you will have more power of intent over it.
