Chapter 45: Small, but intense battle
Given their proximity, he managed to reach Louis in a second. But just then, a silver pistol appeared in his field of vision.
He was already expecting it, so he raised his right hand quickly to deflect it, while his left hand turned into a fist.

The shot’s sound mingled with the shocking sound of metal clashing. The impact was so powerful that it sent John backward, rolling several feet over his feet.
At the same time, Louis swerved his pistol back and fired at one of the people standing there. They were not attacking; they were simply guarding against his escape, so they did not expect to be suddenly attacked.
The one who was attacked saw his shoulder pierced by a terrifying bullet that pushed him back.

John saw his right hand shaking along with his whole arm. ’Just one shot... he has more strength than I.’ His body shuddered.
